Memorial Amelia’s Voice 5k
On May 3rd, we did a memorial Amelia’s voice 5k on the 6 year anniversary of her tragic death due to domestic violence. Amelia’s voice has always been focused on keeping her voice alive through bringing awareness to domestic violence. We had to take a step back for a bit while we handled some non profit legalities but we have refocused our vision and we have started an annual Amelia Wakefield grant fund to help awarded every year based on fundraising efforts in that year and we did an opening ceremony focusing on the impact of domestic violence on a community and then presented the first Amelia Wakefield grant fund check for $10,000. Every year a check based on fundraising monies raised that year will be presented to help restore hope center every May 3rd. We will always advocate and be Amelia’s voice and help others break free from violence and control “Love Shouldn’t Hurt” ![]()
